Biospecimens, Data, and Images
Cancer Data Access System (CDAS)
Cancer Data Access System (CDAS) is a submission and tracking system for researchers to request data, images, and/or biospecimens from various research studies. CDAS provides extensive documentation for each trial, including a summary of the trial, a description of the data collected, and a searchable list of approved research projects and publications with CDAS study data. The following studies are available on CDAS:
- National Lung Screening Trial (NLST)
- Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial (PLCO)
- Interactive Diet and Activity Tracking in AARP (IDATA)
- Early Phase Prevention Trials (EPPT: 2012 Consortia)
Early Detection Research Network
Data and resources from this biomarker research network.
Grantee Biospecimens
- SWOG Biospecimen Bank includes the Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial and the Selenium and Vitamin E Cancer Prevention Trial data and specimens.
- Carotene and Retinal Efficacy Trial (CARET) Biorepository
- Alpha-Tocopherol, Beta-Carotene Cancer Prevention (ATBC) Study

Preclinical Drug Discovery and Development
Cancer Immunoprevention Research Resources
Originally published in the journal Cancer Immunology Research in 2024, these National Institutes of Health Resources are open to researchers.
Cancer Prevention-Interception Targeted (CAP-IT) Agent Discovery Program Data Sharing Catalog
This inventory of datasets is associated with awards from the CAP-IT program.
PREVENT Cancer Preclinical Drug Development Program (PREVENT)
This program allocates NIH contract resources and expertise to generate data and materials to be used by applicants to advance research on cancer prevention agents or biomarkers.

Cancer Treatment Tolerability Resources and Tools
Resources and tools to guide researchers interested in summarizing and visualizing patient tolerability data.
Clinical Trial Randomization Tool
A program to generate a randomized recruitment list for any clinical trial, based on the number of participants or maximum tolerated imbalance (MTI) between arms.
Measurement Error: Impact on Nutrition Research and Adjustment for its Effects
This primer is intended for those who wish to know more about the statistical issues underlying measurement impact on research results and statistical methods of adjusting for its unwanted effects.
This program computes sample size or power for user specified null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis parameter values for a variety of experimental designs.
